Are you numb in the thumb? If so, you could have a carpal tunnel. Carpal tunnel is when there's compression on the median nerve from this little band of tissue. That nerve controls this muscle group and gives sensation to these three fingers. If you have it, you might want to start with a wrist brace and see if that helps.
