let's talk about trigger finger it's not called trigger finger because of guns it has to do with the pockping and clicking noise that's made trigger finger occurs because our tendons move our fingers and as our tendons move they can get stuck to these little passageways called pulleys as that happens a swollen area around the Tenon gets stuck and can be very painful usually the first line treatment is doing is steroid injection however if the steroid injection doesn't work we can do surgery where we open up this passageway if you think you might have trigger finger talk to a hand surgeon we're always happy to lend a hand
